Greetings from the PTO!
Fall is upon us and we hope you are all enjoying these gorgeous blue sky days. A heartfelt thanks to those of you who attended our first PTO meeting of the school year — we were energized by your ideas and enthusiasm. Let’s keep up the momentum! We would also like to extend our deep gratitude to Principal Wieler and our incredible team of SES educators, who took the time this week to hear from the PTO and are already starting to contribute exciting programming ideas to make best use of PTO funding during the 2023 – 2024 school year. We can’t wait to hear more!
In other exciting news, we are proud to announce that the new SES PTO website is now LIVE (!): www.stoweVTpto.org. Please check it out, and don’t hesitate to let us know how our website can best serve you and your learners. We would be remiss if we did not recognize the PTO Board member who has devoted countless hours these past several weeks to not only designing and building the website from the ground up, but also implementing seamless operating systems, inclusive of online payment/ donation options. THANK YOU Charley Pineles-Mark!
And last, but certainly not least: our FALL FUNDRAISER has officially kicked off! Please visit our new website: www.stoweVTpto.org for online wreath & citrus orders and direct donation options. For those wishing to submit paper orders, forms will be sent home in Green Folders on Friday. Let’s make this our biggest fundraising year yet!

Greetings SES Community!
We have two bits of exciting news to share this week --
2023 Fall Fundraiser
The 2023 SES PTO Fall Fundraiser, featuring our popular Wreath & Citrus sale and – in response to requests from the community – a new Direct Donation option in lieu of the purchase of goods, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the PTO is underway!
To purchase wreaths and citrus or to make a direct donation to the PTO you can
(1) GO PAPERLESS by placing an online order/donation directly through our fundraising page or donation page
(2) fill out the paper order forms sent home with students in Green Folders.
Your ongoing support of the PTO ensures that we can continue to provide enrichment and enhanced learning opportunities benefitting SES students, gestures of gratitude for our wonderful teachers and staff, and community events to foster connection. Every contribution, big or small, truly makes a difference.

Outdoor Clothing Drive - SAVE THE DATE!
We are very excited to announce that the SES Outdoor Clothing Drive will be held on October 31st, 130pm - 230pm, adjacent to SES (walker pick-up area), following Stowe's best Halloween parade. We will be taking outdoor clothing/gear donations to ensure all SES students can enjoy outdoor learning opportunities and adventures.
Partnership with BirdieBlue
We are thrilled to be partnering with the local company, BirdieBlue (www.https://shopbirdieblue.com/) to amplify our sustainability impact. Founded by a Stowe mom, BirdieBlue is a woman led, outdoor adventure brand on a mission to save as many clothes from the landfill as possible by upcycling old, discarded ski and snowboard gear into personality filled, sustainably created accessories.
Any gear deemed not donatable will be upcycled by the BirdieBlue team. And to sweeten the deal, donate during this gear drive and BirdieBlue will provide you with a discount code good for 15% off your next BirdieBlue purchase.
Raffle!
BirdieBlue is donating two of their most popular items, The Carry All and The Fanny, to the SES PTO for a school-wide raffle! Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 each at the Outdoor Clothing Drive on the 31st. Excited? WE ARE.

Greetings SES Community!
We have exciting announcements to share but first, a shameless plug for our 2023 Fall Fundraiser. The SES PTO’s ability to fulfill its mission hinges upon our ability to raise funds. The biggest impact you can make to the PTO is through a Direct Donation. Every contribution makes a difference. A donation of $25 across the majority of SES families would handily bring us to our fundraising goal of $5000. If we reach our goal, we will host a schoolwide, fun-filled celebration as a thanks to families. If you would prefer to support the PTO through the purchase of wreaths and/or citrus please kindly be reminded that the Wreath & Citrus sale comes to a close on Oct 26th. As ever, we are incredibly grateful for your support of our SES community.
Onto the fun stuff…
OUTDOOR CLOTHING & GEAR DRIVE + RAFFLE!
We are thrilled to host the SES Outdoor Clothing Drive on Tuesday, October 31st, adjacent to SES (walker pick-up area), in partnership with the local company, BirdieBlue. We promise camaraderie, hot tea & donuts, the opportunity to support our students through outdoor clothing donations AND a chance to win a super stylish, eco-chic BirdieBlue bag through the purchase of raffle tickets.
Excited? WE ARE.
(Please note we’ve adjusted the timing of the Drive to better coordinate with the SES Halloween parade, which will start around 2pm. The Drive will start at 12.30pm and run through 245pm.)

In related news, we are thrilled to have received our first funding requests of the school year from the SES teaching teams, to enhance classroom learning. Stay tuned for details! We hope to make an announcement very soon about PTO sponsored enrichment for the 2023 – 2024 school year.
Upcoming Events
The Spooky Season is upon us! Please join us next week Tuesday, Oct 31st before the SES Halloween Parade, at the SES PTO Outdoor Clothing & Gear Drive (12.30pm – 2.45pm). Donate your old gear, enjoy a hot cider AND buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win an eco-chic upcycled bag by Stowe’s very own BirdieBlue. Full details on the Drive can be found here.
