Board Members

The Board is responsible for setting our PTO's mission, strategy, and goals. It ensures that the PTO  operates in compliance with legal and ethical standards and is responsible for ensuring the PTO’s financial stability and sustainability.

Volunteers

A PTO is only as strong as its volunteer base and we are deeply appreciative of our parent volunteers. We offer volunteer opportunities throughout the school year, from formal liaison and committee lead roles to ad hoc offerings.

PTO LIAISION

Library Liaison (Jaimee Martin) - in close coordination with Ms. Frey (SES librarian), oversees annual SES Book Fair and facilitates the purchase and donation of books to the SES library. 

Classroom Helpers - Classroom Helpers support classroom needs and activities and serve as a vital link between caregivers, teachers, and the PTO.  Please contact us for detailed information on this role. 

PTO COMMITTEES 

Teacher Appreciation Lead  - in collaboration with a team of volunteers, organizes activities for Teacher Appreciation Week and coordinates holiday and end-of-year gifting. 

Project and Event Lead - leads individual PTO projects and events. For open roles contact the PTO Board. Interested in creating your own project or event? We welcome your ideas and would love to hear from you!

Principal Wieler

The PTO works in close collaboration with the SES principal, Maura Wieler, on strategic planning, including facilitating community engagement, planning events and activities and PTO support of SES programming and academic enrichment opportunities. Our close relationship with Principal Wieler is invaluable to realizing the PTO's mission and vision and we are grateful for her continual support.
